You create the event, share the link on your internal channel, and each person says where they are leaving from. Whoever was already going to order a taxi announces it with the free seats, and colleagues from that area join. Once the group is set, you order the right size of taxi and split the fare on arrival.
The link is private: it never appears in the public listing or in search results.
The same private event works for taking the team to an away day, a convention or the office on a special date. The date changes, the procedure does not.
