For your Christmas dinners and parties
Those nights there aren't enough taxis or ride-hailing cars: share the one you get
At Christmas everyone orders a taxi, Uber, Cabify or Bolt at the same time and there aren't enough cars free. Create a private event for the dinner or party: whoever gets a taxi announces it and the others join, even if it means a detour.
Create a private eventWhy those nights are different
Everyone orders at once
Work dinners fall on Thursdays and Fridays and cluster on a few December dates. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are a single night for the whole country. At closing time, half the city orders a taxi, Uber, Cabify or Bolt in the same half hour and the apps run out of free cars.
Whoever gets a taxi, share it
If everyone waits for their own, most people end up stuck in the street. If whoever gets a taxi announces it in the private event, people heading in a similar direction join, even if it takes several stops. Paying a bit more for the detour is worth it: the alternative is not getting home.
Frequently asked questions
- Why are there no taxis or Ubers at Christmas?
- Because dinners and parties are packed into a few nights —the Thursdays and Fridays of December, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve— and everyone orders at once. Taxis and ride-hailing apps run out of free cars: whoever gets one is the one who gets home.
- Who can see our dinner's event?
- Only people with the link. It's a private event: it doesn't appear in listings or search engines. Share it in your WhatsApp group or team channel.
- Is it worth it if we live far from each other?
- Yes. On those nights the hard part isn't the price, it's getting a taxi at all. Even if the ride takes a detour and each of you pays a bit more than going alone, sharing the one you got is how everyone gets home. And there's still no commission: you only split the real fare.
